Your gun safe works hard to keep your valuables safe and protected in your home or office. Give it the attention it deserves with regular care and maintenance to ensure the quality of your Surelock safe.
Exterior Care & Maintenance
CLEAN AS NEEDED.
Use a damp cloth with soap and water to clean the outside of your gun safe, only as needed. Do not use metal polishes or cleaners.
SECURE IN A COOL & DRY LOCATION.
Securing your safe in a cool and dry location is important not only to your security, but to the overall life of your safe. Choosing a cool and dry location will keep your safe free from rust and corrosion, while also providing an added layer of protection in the event of a fire.

CONTROL THE DUST.
If your safe is in a particularly dusty environment, it may be important to wipe or vacuum dust often to prevent damage to the safe's locking mechanism.
Interior Care & Maintenance
CLEAN AS NEEDED.
Spot clean the interior felt with a damp cloth, only as needed.
PLACEMENT OF VALUABLES.
In addition to preserving your firearms and valuables with regular maintenance, it is important to lightly clean them and ensure they are dry before storing in your gun or home safe.
Do not place anything inside your safe that may put pressure against the door. This may prevent your safe from functioning.
REGULATE HUMIDITY.
Dehumidifiers and desiccants are recommended for those in humid environments to protect against humidity. Dehumidifiers must be kept at least 1” away from walls.
